Splendiferous Zeppelin Escapades

Well, Jessica has been hard at work, and it shows!  We think our new look in our living room is just right for us, and we thought you all might like to see it too!  Just go to our House Pictures Album to check out the green goodness in the first four pictures of the album.  If you contrast it with the next four pictures after that (from January), you’ll see the difference as well as many other changes that the observant observer would observe.

Hi everybody, Adam here.  Well, we’ve been slacking, but moving into a new house is no easy task!  Anyway, I’ve FINALLY posted that last day of pre-move-in pictures (link to the right), as well as new house pictures with everything moved in (click HERE). 

Its been really sweet to be moved in almost completely.  Yesterday we put up all the pictures and mirrors, etc. and its feeling a lot more like home.  I’ll probably change the link on the right to a new album later on now that the house is finished and not under construction anymore.  Maybe I’ll put a link to the album with our cruise pictures in it! 

Yep, that’s right we’re going a cruise in March during Jessica’s spring break, and that should be a blast.  We’ll be going to the western Caribbean, and we’re very much excited for it.

It seems like we haven’t had a break.  School has been none stop for me, really.  We did have 2 snow days on November 30 and December 1.  My classes and I have been reading The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, and I think we are all glad that we are finished.  I am giving my final on Monday.  Then we are basically going to done for the semester!

On Tuesday, I (and possibly Adam) are going for our Homeowner’s orientation meeting and final walkthrough of our house.  We are so excited to have our house finished.  It will be nice to have our own home.  My parents have been wonderful to us while we have been here, but I think we are good and ready to be in our own place.  I think they are good and ready for us to have our own place too.    

We close in 5 days!  Hurray!  We hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

EDIT:  New pictures of the house are up!  Sorry we haven’t posted pictures for a couple weeks.

We are now 32 days from closing, and I can hardly wait.  Our house seems to be progressing everyday.  Last time I took pictures was on Friday, November 17th.  At that point, we have lights, vents, and we almost have appliances. 

On Friday, I went to go see the appliances, and they were BLACK!  We ordered white!  So, the builder is replacing them with what we ordered.  That’s what is happening as far as house progress goes.     

Well, on Monday they painted the house and took off the tape on the wood.  I am in absolute love with the color of the wood.  It is not too dark and not too light.   The color of the wood is called fruitwood.  I love it, love it, love it!

Today they put in the countertops in the kitchen and the bathroom.  The cultered marble in the bathroom is beautiful.  The countertops in the kitchen are awesome.  Our house is very…tan.  I love it a lot! 

Can you tell that I love my house and how everything is coming together?  Well, if you can’t… I so love my house and how everything is coming together!
